Werewolves are hiding in plain sight in the medieval town of Gallowston, and as one of the concerned (and rapidly disappearing) villagers, you’ll need to figure out who among you is innocent and who’s a shapeshifting murderbeast — or see if you’re a good-enough liar to hide your true nature from your friends.
An online game for five to eight people, Werewolves Within aims to replicate the feel of playing Werewolves, the classic classic party game of sleuthing and lies, in a close group by taking advantage of positional tracking, character animation based on voice-inflection analysis, and natural gestures. To discover the disguised werewolves among them, players will need to draw on randomly assigned roles and abilities, as well as a guidebook filled with hints, all to inform a vote on who they think the werewolf is. Rounds are meant to be played quickly, throwing players into new roles and onto different sides and ensuring a different experience every time.
